The CIS Film Forum Central Asia+ has been opened in Almaty. Representatives of the film industries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are participating in the forum.
Over the course of two days, screenings of films from participating countries across various genres will take place, along with business sessions aimed at strengthening cooperation and exchanging film experiences between the CIS countries, the organizers note.
According to Elsa Antonova, CEO of Roskino, the Central Asia+ forum will be a unique platform for interaction between CIS member states through a lively and fruitful dialogue aimed at developing cinema.
Representatives of the film industries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will have the opportunity to discuss joint initiatives within the framework of intercultural cooperation.
