President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on July 2 gave start to technical launch of the first two cable ways at the under-construction all-season mountain Ala-Too Resort in Ak-Suu district of Issyk-Kul region. The first phase of the project is scheduled to open in December 2026.
By the end of 2026, authorities plan to commission four additional lifts, the first ski tracks, administrative buildings, rental facilities, and parking infrastructure.
The project also includes the construction of engineering networks, water supply and electricity infrastructure, as well as road facilities. In particular, Karakol—Jyrgalan road is being constructed, Boz-Uchuk—Jyrgalan road is being asphalted, and an alternative route is under construction.
During the ceremony, Sadyr Japarov also laid the foundation for parking stations serving four additional cable ways and met with local residents, investors, and construction workers.
