President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a law amending the Law «On the State Civil Service and Municipal Service.»
The document stipulates that citizens of Kyrgyzstan with disabilities who meet the qualification requirements will be able to apply for civil service positions without a competition, based on a personal application.
Furthermore, heads of state bodies and local governments are required to adhere to employment quotas for individuals with disabilities. Appointments to vacant positions should be made from a personnel reserve of citizens with disabilities who meet the established qualification requirements.
The authorized state body will determine the procedure for selecting candidates from among individuals with disabilities included in the personnel reserve.
The law will come into force in ten days.
