Rockfall reported on alternative North–South road

A rockfall occurred this morning on the alternative North—South road.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Communications, around 9 a.m. rocks fell onto the roadway from a mountain slope between kilometers 239 and 243.

Road maintenance teams and special equipment were promptly deployed to eliminate the consequences of the incident. Cleanup operations are currently ongoing to clear the road.

Despite the incident, the road remains open to traffic without restrictions.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution in the affected area, pay attention to road signs, and follow instructions from road service personnel.
