Residents of Eki-Naryn village held a rally against the development of Chyrpykty field. Press service of the Presidential Envoy to Naryn region reported.
About 55-60 people participated in the protest. The protesters demanded to remove the equipment and opposed the work of Gold Content company, which has a license to develop the deposit.
According to the press service, the Presidential Envoy Altynbek Ergeshov, as well as other officials, came out to the protesters. They listened to people’s complaints and answered questions.
The villagers fear that the development of the deposit will cause damage to the environment, as well as pollute drinking and irrigation water.
Altynbek Ergeshov promised to visit Chyrpykty field.
Earlier it was reported that a rally was taking place in Naryn region against the development of Zhetim-Too field.
