It’s time to start administrative-territorial reform. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at a meeting of the first People’s Kurultai.
According to him, Tyup district in Issyk-Kul region was chosen as an experimental pilot region.
«We issued a decree on improving the administrative system and developing the regions. Preparations are underway. Tyup district was chosen as a pilot project. Within the framework of this reform, it is planned to organize five consolidated aiyl aimaks on the basis of 13 aiyl aimaks. The results of the reform in Tyup district will be comprehensively studied and taken into account, and then a full-fledged administrative-territorial reform will take place throughout the republic,» Sadyr Japarov said.
