Kanat Abdrakhmatov has been appointed a President of the National Academy of Sciences. The former head of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic Murat Dzhumataev told 24.kg news agency.
Murat Dzhumataev was dismissed from the post of President of the Academy on November 17 due to the end of his term of office.
President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic was appointed on Monday. It is noted that the head of the Cabinet Akylbek Japarov recommended Kanat Abdrakhmatov to the post.
Kanat Abdrakhmatov previously worked as the director of the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.
