Head of Cabinet allocates 200,000 soms to kindergarten of Penitentiary Service

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov took part in the opening of a departmental kindergarten No. 19 of the State Penitentiary Service. Press service of the Cabinet reported.

The institution is located in Moldovanovka village, Chui region. The kindergarten was opened after a major overhaul and is designed for 240 children.

Akylbek Japarov, on behalf of the President, congratulated the employees of the penitentiary system of Kyrgyzstan on their professional holiday and noted the importance of the work of employees of the penitentiary system. He also stressed that earlier the penitentiary system was financed residually.

«In 2015, the budget of the Penitentiary Service was 900 million soms. Over the past two years, it has been increased to 3 billion soms. The funds are directed not only to increase the wages and pensions of veterans, improve their living conditions, but also to relocate penitentiary facilities outside the cities. In addition, the leadership of the Ministry of Justice is working on restructuring the system of execution of criminal penalties, introducing electronic bracelets, a probationary period and a system of fines. The Cabinet of Ministers is always ready to support ideas aimed at improving the system,» Akylbek Japarov said.

He inspected the classrooms, corridors, food unit warehouse, canteen and the territory of the kindergarten.

About 30 million soms were allocated for repair, restoration and construction work. In addition, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers allocated 200,000 soms from his reserve fund for the needs of the kindergarten.
