President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov made a speech at the 16th summit of Heads of State of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Tashkent. The press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov recalled that two years have passed since the previous meeting of the presidents in Turkmenistan. During this time, significant geopolitical changes have occurred that directly affect the ECO space.
«With pain in our hearts and deep empathy, we are watching the situation in the Middle East and the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip. We call on the parties to take comprehensive measures to prevent casualties and violence against civilians, to promptly end hostilities and immediately begin the negotiation process,» he noted.
In addition, the President touched upon the topic of Afghanistan and noted the importance of continuing to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of this country and full support for regional integration economic and humanitarian projects that will contribute to the recovery of the Afghan economy.
