Over 32,000 newborns born in Kyrgyzstan for three months

The resident population of Kyrgyzstan increased by 24,800 people, or 0.4 percent, from January to March 2026, reaching 7,432 million people as of April 1. These data are presented in a report by the National Statistical Committee.

According to the report, the population of Bishkek as of April 1 was 1,365,500, while that of Osh was 487,500.

According to the state agency Kyzmat under the Presidential Affairs Department, approximately 32,800 newborns were registered with civil registry offices in January — March. As a result, the natural population growth rate reached 24,800 people, or 13.5 per 1,000 people.

The highest natural population growth rates in January — March of this year were observed in Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad regions, while the lowest was in Bishkek.
