Kyrgyzstan interested in developing political dialogue with Portugal

A meeting of the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev with Foreign Minister of Portugal Paulo Rangel took place in New York, USA.

During the conversation, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries and interaction within international organizations.

Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized Kyrgyzstan’s interest in developing Kyrgyzstan — Portugal political dialogue through reciprocal visits at various levels. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation, and expanding the legal framework for bilateral relations.

Paulo Rangel confirmed Portugal’s readiness to intensify interaction and supported initiatives aimed at further strengthening cooperation both on a reciprocal basis and within international organizations.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Foreign Ministries of the Kyrgyz Republic and Portugal.
