CSTO Defense Ministries agree to develop Collective Air Forces

A regular meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held in Moscow. The meeting was attended by CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov and Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrei Serdyukov.

Following the session, the defense ministers of member states adopted a number of documents, including:

• Draft decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the procedures for forming mobile air defense units to protect the troops (Collective Forces) of the CSTO during joint military operations, as well as on the development of the CSTO Collective Air Forces.
• Decisions of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers «On the introduction of new specialties in the training system of military personnel of the CSTO member states» and «On the Plan for joint training of command bodies and formations of forces and means of the CSTO collective security system for 2027.»
