Human rights defender Aziza Abdirasulova has been summoned to the Internal Affairs Department of Nooken district as a witness, the Internal Affairs Department of Jalal-Abad region told 24.kg news agency.
«Currently, she is giving testimony in the capacity of a witness. Investigative actions are underway,» the department said.
No details have been provided regarding the case in which the human rights defender is being questioned.
Earlier, Abdirasulova’s daughter, Gulshaiyr Abdirasulova, reported that her mother had been taken to the Nooken district police department. Human rights activist Dinara Oshurakhunova also stated that Abdirasulova had been under surveillance and expressed concern over the actions of law enforcement authorities.
