The State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that on June 22, border guards foiled an attempt to illegally transport strong pharmaceutical substances on the Kyrgyz—Uzbek section of the state border.
In Doochar area of Kadamdzhai district in Batken region, approximately 100 meters from the state border line, a border patrol detained a Kyrgyz citizen K.Zh., 26, resident of the village of Airybaz.
Following the detention, border units inspected the surrounding area toward Doochar and discovered a scooter allegedly used by individuals involved in the illegal activity.
A total of 1,898 units of the seized pharmaceutical products were confiscated. The preliminary value of the shipment is estimated at over 2.8 million soms.
Investigative procedures are ongoing. After the completion of documentation, the detainee and the seized goods were handed over to the competent authorities for further investigation.
