Kyrgyz Pochtasy has issued a commemorative postage stamp to mark the 20th anniversary of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB). The first stamp was ceremonially canceled on June 26 during the bank’s annual meeting and business forum in Almaty.
Bakyt Sydykov congratulated the bank on its anniversary and noted that Kyrgyzstan’s cooperation with the EDB has helped implement projects aimed at developing the country’s economy. According to him, the bank brings together not only financial resources but also experts working on joint regional initiatives.
Nikolai Podguzov thanked Kyrgyzstan for issuing the commemorative stamp. He noted that the event was especially symbolic as it took place in the year marking the 15th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s membership in the EDB. According to him, the bank and the republic have implemented dozens of joint projects over the years, and the partnership will continue to expand.
Kyrgyzstan has been a member of the EDB since 2011. The bank finances projects in energy, transport, industry, and other sectors across its member states.
