Bishkek’s eastern bypass road is scheduled to open to traffic in December, City Halls’ press service reported.
According to the press service, Deputy Mayor Atai Muratbek held an on-site meeting to inspect the construction and reconstruction of the capital’s road infrastructure.
A section of Imanaliev Street, undergoing reconstruction, was also inspected. Work is underway on two kilometers of the road (the total length is 5 kilometers).
According to the project, there will be two traffic lanes with a total width of eight meters, 1.5-meter-wide sidewalks on each side, an irrigation system, and updated outdoor lighting. Participants also visited Muromskaya Street, where work is underway between Alykulov Street and Akhunbaev Street. The roadway will be 14 meters wide, with three meters of sidewalks on each side.
