ZTO Express, China’s largest logistics company, is in discussions with Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC to launch a new international cargo route. The project will enable cargo to be delivered from China via Manas Airport to European countries, reducing transit times between Asia and Europe.
According to Airports of Kyrgyzstan OJSC, during the negotiations, the parties discussed the launch of the new international cargo route that will connect Bishkek with European countries using a multimodal transportation scheme.
The project is expected to reduce delivery times between Asia and Europe, improve the efficiency of international logistics chains, increase air cargo volumes, attract new transit flows, create additional jobs, and generate additional revenue for the country’s economy.
One of the factors facilitating the development of cooperation with international logistics companies is the removal of the Kyrgyz Republic from the European Union’s aviation safety list.
Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Board of Kyrgyzstan Airports OJSC, noted that the development of cargo aviation remains one of the company’s key areas of work.
«The Kyrgyz Republic will become a new logistics bridge between Asia and Europe. We are creating a modern transport and logistics infrastructure that will effectively integrate road and air transport, attract international cargo flows, and open up new opportunities for our country in global trade. The interest of large international companies like ZTO Express confirms Kyrgyzstan’s growing reputation as a reliable partner and a promising transport hub in the region,» he said.
