The authorities of Kyrgyzstan have proposed to the Kazakh side an exchange of equivalent land plots, presidential spokesman Askat Alagozov reported.
The proposal concerns an 800-meter section of road near the city of Tokmok in Chui region.
«The implementation of this project will make it possible to create a toll highway approximately 150 kilometers long — from Almatinskaya Street to Kemin,» the presidential spokesman wrote.
The section in question is part of Bishkek—Naryn—Torugart road, which runs along Chu River. The river serves as the state border between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
