The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey held talks as part of the 7th meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group between the two countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, in order to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, the sides discussed preparations for upcoming high-level contacts, including the organization of reciprocal visits by the heads of state, as well as the holding of the 7th meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
In the trade and economic sphere, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to achieving the goal set by the leaders of both countries to increase bilateral trade turnover to $5 billion and exchanged views on the practical implementation of this objective.
Following the 7th meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group, a cooperation program between the Foreign Ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey for 2027–2028 was signed.
