The grand opening of the new head office of Eldik Bank OJSC took place in Bishkek, marking the 100th anniversary of savings system in the Kyrgyz Republic. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov attended the event.
The head of state noted that the opening of the bank’s new building coincided with an important historical date for the country’s entire banking system. He took part in the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, toured the modern building, and visited the museum, which displays the 100-year history of savings system and the bank’s awards.
«Today is a special day for the entire banking system of Kyrgyzstan. We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of savings system and simultaneously opening the new head office of Eldik Bank. These two events have symbolic and historical significance,» the head of state stated.
The President emphasized that Eldik Bank is today one of the largest banks in the country and plays a vital role in implementing the state’s strategic objectives.
«This is a financial institution with capital exceeding 80 billion soms, which ensures the availability of financial services and strengthens citizens’ trust in the banking system,» he noted.
The head of state also stated that Kyrgyzstan is entering a new stage in the development of the banking system, where digitalization, innovation, and improved quality of public services play a key role.
«Digital transformation is one of the priorities of state policy. We are consistently developing cashless payments, electronic government services, digital identification systems, and modern banking technologies,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He noted that this demonstrates the trust of international investors not only in the bank but also in the reforms being carried out in the country.
Concluding his speech, the president congratulated the bank’s staff and all citizens on its anniversary.
«May the development of the savings system continue, and may the new head office of Eldik Bank become a symbol of success and prosperity,» he said.
