SCNS dismantles transnational drug trafficking group

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) has dismantled a transnational criminal group involved in the trafficking of narcotic substances through an international drug transit route running from Afghanistan through Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to other CIS countries.

A citizen of Kyrgyzstan, K.U.B., was detained using the domestic controlled delivery method. A large consignment of hashish was seized from illegal circulation.

Additional operational and investigative measures are currently underway to identify all members of the drug trafficking group.
